What’s New in Version 3.0

  • MyColLife Parent Portal (New)

A new Parent Portal enables parents and guardians to participate in college finance planning, review degree progress, receive administrative messages and stay informed about their student’s academic progress.

  • Enhanced Communication Between High Schools and Colleges

Students can now centralize and manage high school, college and professional contacts. This improved communication channel supports secure messaging, document sharing, group collaboration and social engagement among students, educators and advisors.

  • MyColLife Active Job Listings

In addition to access to thousands of job postings from the U.S. Department of Labor, V3.0 offers geo-targeted job listings matched to a student’s career interests and field of study, making it easier to find opportunities close to home.

  • Veteran Personality Profile and College Prep Enhancements

MyColLife has added veteran-focused features to support the transition from military service to higher education and careers. The platform now includes a veteran-tailored personality profile and enhanced college and career planning tools designed to smooth that transition.

  • Digital Badge Technology for High School Students

Launching in fall 2015, MyColLife will introduce five digital badges for high school students and incoming college freshmen. Earned badges can be linked to social networks, digital resumes and supported platforms like Mozilla Backpack, helping students showcase skills and achievements.

  • User Opt-Out Feature for Data Sharing

Privacy is a core priority. V3.0 introduces a clear opt-out option that allows students to control whether their data is shared, ensuring greater transparency and user control over personal information.

  • Improved Accessibility and Website Standardization

Commitment to equal access drives our accessibility upgrades. The V3.0 release includes enhancements to support students with special needs and brings improved consistency across the site for a better user experience.

  • Mobile App for iPhone and Android

MyColLife’s mobile app is included in V3.0 and is available for both iPhone and Android devices to deliver on-the-go access to planning tools, messaging, job listings and notifications.
